FIREFIGHTER RECRUIT

    FIREFIGHTER EMT

    To qualify, you must meet ANY of the following criteria:

    1. Active Georgia or National Registry Advanced EMT (“A” number) who will go straight to recruit class.
    2. Active Georgia-certified Firefighter I (minimum) and active Georgia or National Registry Advanced EMT (“A” number).

      FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

      Must meet ANY of the criteria:

      1. Active Georgia-certified Firefighter I (minimum) and active Georgia or National Registry Paramedic (“P” number).
      2. Active Georgia or National Registry Paramedic (“P” number) who will go straight into a recruit class.

        PARAMEDIC ONLY (PMO)

        This role provides scheduled and unscheduled direct patient care in a mobile environment, offering independent medical care for non-emergent and emergent patients. It involves collaborating with healthcare team members for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of all age groups with acute or sub-acute injuries or illnesses. Reporting is to the Department Medical Director for clinical matters and the Fire/Chief Operating Officer for employment and department goals. Essential functions include delivering high-quality mobile healthcare services, conducting physical exams, prescribing medications, and ensuring medical readiness.

        Requires a state of Georgia paramedic licensure or National Registry paramedic licensure. This position only requires you to serve in the capacity of a paramedic. No fire certification required.

         

          NURSE PRACTITIONER

          This classification involves providing scheduled and unscheduled direct patient care in a mobile environment, performing technical and specialized work functions. It includes professional, independent medical care for non-emergent and emergent patients, collaborating with healthcare team members for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of all age groups with acute or sub-acute injuries or illnesses. The role involves reporting to the Department Medical Director for clinical care matters and to the Fire/Chief Operating Officer for employment, programs, and department goals/protocols. Essential functions include delivering high-quality mobile healthcare services, conducting comprehensive physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and ensuring medical readiness.

          Must possess licensure in the state of Georgia.
