CCFES Firefighter Recruit and EMT Training Program: Your Path to Excellence, One Student at a Time
Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey toward becoming a certified firefighter? Look no further than the CCFES Firefighter Recruit Training Program. Designed for students with no prior firefighter training, this 16-week course provides a comprehensive education that leads to State of Georgia Firefighter certification. But that’s not all—graduates also earn national recognition and hold NPQ certifications in Firefighter I, Firefighter II, HazMat Awareness, and HazMat Operations.

CCFES EMT Training Program: Your Path to Excellence
At CCFES, we believe in comprehensive training that prepares our recruits for success. In addition to our rigorous Firefighter Recruit Training Program, we’ve enhanced our curriculum to include an essential component: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training.
Successfully completing your EMT in recruit class is essential for you to graduate our program. As a CCFES employee, you will be required to pass your EMT in recruit class and Advanced Emergency Technician (AEMT) when assigned to a station after graduation. Both are requirements of your contract.
What’s New?
- EMT Basics: As part of your journey, you’ll attend a 5-day a week, 16-week EMS basic course. This training equips you with basic life-saving skills and knowledge.
- National Registry Certification: Before graduation, you’ll complete and pass the National Registry EMT basic exam, ensuring you’re well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
